ASSOCIATE PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRY
· The Associate Pastor of Student Ministry position is a part-time ministry position that will participate in worship, provide pastoral care, and perform other general leadership duties in support of and at the direction of Linden Baptist’s Pastoral Staff. This Pastor will assist the pastoral staff in leading the church congregation into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and overseeing the various ministries and outreaches of the church family, particularly in the development, coordination, and promotion of the student ministry of Linden Baptist from 6th to 12th grade.
· The Associate Pastor of Student Ministry shall be a Christian and agree with the church covenant and statement of faith; they and their immediate family must become active members of Linden Baptist Church.
· This Pastor shall have a genuine commitment to the gospel and sense a divine call to this role.
· This Pastor will strive to have a servant attitude in personal and professional relationships.
· Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
General Responsibilities
· PRAYER
o Ensure that prayer is maintained as a high priority in the church.
· EQUIPPING AND OVERSEEING STUDENT MINISTRIES
o Develop, implement, and maintain programs of evangelism and discipleship designed for youth grades 6th-12th.
§ Recruit and maintain contact with all youth, youth workers, and prospective youth.
§ Providing guidance to the youth and their parents as needed.
o Maintain responsibility for all youth activities including but not limited to:
§ Developing a monthly/yearly calendar of proposed youth activities.
§ Conducting Wednesday evening Youth activities.
§ Promoting and sponsoring attendance at summer camps, youth mission trips, and summer mission projects as well as additional activities to promote fellowship among the youth.
§ Leading Sunday school lessons or providing approved Sunday School curriculum to be led by lay member leaders.
§ Attending services and activities involving youth.
§ Keeping informed on methods, materials, principles, procedures, promotion, and administration as related to children and student ministry.
· Collaborate well with the Pastoral Staff of Linden to coordinate various activities and develop growth and unity within the entire church.
· Assist the pastoral staff in teaching and leading worship services through scripture readings, responsive readings, and prayer, etc.
· Conduct visits to hospitals, nursing homes, and individuals.
· Be a visual part of the community promoting Christ and our church.
· Maintain open communication with the rest of the staff in planning, directing and executing strategic vision for Linden through staff, committee, parent, or other meetings as necessary.
· Participate in and be a supporter of the local Clay Platte Baptist Association, State Convention, and the SBC denomination.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
· Maintain and be available for communication with church members.
· Maintain Youth Council meetings no less than once a quarter.
· Work closely in cooperation with the Youth Council to maintain transparency on behalf of the entire Student Ministry.
· Maintain regular communication with both youth and parents, via the Band App.
Relationships
· Be under direct supervision and report directly to the Senior Pastor, meeting weekly to share and plan work.
· Work closely with other pastoral and staff members.
· Cooperate with the finance committee and treasurer by submitting budget requests for assigned areas, administering expenditures within the limits of the church budget, based on the current ability of the church to pay.
· Attend and give reports at Church Council meetings.

· The Associate Pastor of Children Ministries position is a part-time ministry position that will participate in worship, provide pastoral care, and perform other general leadership duties in support of and at the direction of Linden Baptist’s Pastoral Staff. This Pastor will assist the pastoral staff in leading the church congregation into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and overseeing the various ministries and outreaches of the church family, particularly in the development, coordination, and promotion of the various children ministries of Linden Baptist from newborns to the 5th grade.
· The Associate Pastor of Children Ministries shall be a Christian and agree with the church covenant and statement of faith; they and their immediate family must become active members of Linden Baptist Church.
· This Pastor shall have a genuine commitment to the gospel and sense a divine call to this role.
· This Pastor will strive to have a servant attitude in personal and professional relationships.

§ Leading Children’s Church or providing approved curriculum to be led by lay member leaders.
§ Attending services and activities involving children.
